THANK YOU to all who have served!

This project isn't about making money.  Every one of these custom-made totes takes several hours to construct, piece by piece.  Everything is hand cut and sewn by me at my home in North Texas.

This is a way for me to say "thank you" to people who have put service above self, and the families who sacrificed to support them.

I got the idea about using a uniform shirt to make a tote while surfing the internet.  I saw that someone had made a tote from an old shirt--just a regular plaid shirt.  I thought I could do the same using one of my son's old Navy Working Uniform shirts that were taking up space in a closet.  Through some trial and error, I came up with the design I'm using now to rescue these uniforms that were hiding in boxes or bags.

My son has moved away, but the tote reminds me of him every time I pick it up.  I am proud of my son's service, and the tote is a way for my to display that pride.  I take great care when crafting each tote or pillow cover I make, because I know each shirt represents a special person.  It's my way of giving a little something back.

Since every tote is custom made, we'll get to know each other, and I'll enjoy learning a little about your hero.  I look forward to making something for you!
